I want to live in a world that cares about details. Takes the time to think through the repercussions and impact of words and actions before immediately following a gut instinct. I want to live in a world that slows down. That enjoys life and food. That takes the time to get to know each other. That studies and reads and writes and paints and creates. That allows everybody to do what is best for them, but that provides an equal opportunity and education for people to learn. That isn't relentless, brutal, and violent to all but the most fortunate. I want beauty and calm, easy-living, breathing and enjoyment. I don't want to be bored; I want to be engaged. I want a world without hunger and sickness, amorality and apathy. I want people to recognize a common humanity in a stranger, to care about whether or not they're doing alright. I don't want a robotic, cold nothingness to fill the stares we have for each other, or a plain eye aversion. I don't want money, corporate interests, and greed to dictate our priorities and the way we interact with each other. I don't want a world where people determine each other's worth based on the name-brand they're wearing. That's a sick, twisted society. I want a future of optimism, hope, and love. I want a world where the individual matters, but not where the interests of the individual trump the interests of the collective. I want a world of balance, justice, and care. I'm tired of war, I'm tired of cruelty. I'm ready for something new, something better, something fair and just.
