8/16/2020 0 Comments The futureStrange to think that one day, there will be English-speakers who have difficulty understanding what I write today. Language evolves so quickly I sometimes read the writing of native English-speakers from around 100 years ago, and I have to work to understand what they're saying. It's fascinating to think there will be a day when my English will be as unfamiliar to an English-speaker as Spanish is to a monolingual English-speaker today. Will there be translator bots which will easily convert this into what will then be considered standardized English? How strange.
